Sports and Entertainment
Marketing 9,10,11,12 .5 credit
and Entertainment Marketing takes students on a step-by-step journey
through the world of marketing. Students learn about the core functions
of marketing and how those functions are applied to the sports and
entertainment industry. The purpose of the this course is to provide
students with the fundamental principles and concepts identified with
sports and entertainment marketing and to develop critical thinking and
decision making skills. Business and marketing as it relates to the
global economy will also be stressed.
Virtual Business Sports, promotion and advertising simulations will be a fun and exciting way
to learn sports and entertainment marketing objectives. Current business and
marketing current events will be studied each week. Students will also have the opportunity to join DECA - International Organization of Marketing Students.
