550 Marketing I. Marketing, Sales, & Promotion

Marketing I.    First Semester                                    10, 11, 12      
Prerequisite:  None                                                .5 credits                                                                                                                  
Students will learn the language of business and marketing while learning the importance of communication and social skills for business and marketing related careers.  Topics include:  the private enterprise system, economics, functions of marketing, world channels of distribution, promotion, and selling.

Case problems, current business events in on-line publications pertaining to marketing topics will be emphasized.  Virtual Business on-line Business Simulation will also be featured.  Power Point Presentation skills will also be developed.   Recommended for students pursuing marketing studies, business and marketing employment, and students wanting to join DECA - International Organization of Marketing Students.
