Hola. My name is Vicki L. Buchta, and I currently teach Spanish 3 and 5. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1999 with a degree in Spanish and Secondary Education. I minored in both history and psychology. I earned my Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College in 2003.
I studied in Mexico at the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro during my tenure at Eastern. I am an avid traveler. I especially love to travel to Spanish-speaking countries. I constantly strive to improve my language skills and gain more insight into the traditions and practices of those countries that we study in class. Over the past eleven years at Churchill, I have had numerous opportunities to lead student groups to both Spain and France. I usually lead a group once every two years.
I am looking forward to taking students to Spain again in 2016.
If there are ever any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me.
