Dance Policy Reminder
Posted on 08/29/2016
Churchill Dances Churchill High School aims to keep all students and staff comfortable and safe at each and every event. With this in mind, the school has instituted a few new dance policies, in addition to the old policies, of which students must adhere to enjoy the dances that Churchill provides.

Each student must have a signed copy of the Dance Policies on file in the Student Activities Office (G8) in order to attend a dance. Printable copies of the policy can be found at the link below, and a hard copy can also be obtained from Mr. Mercier in the Student Activities Office.

We look forward to a fun, exciting, and safe school year!

Also, don't forget that we have a Class Failure Policy that relates to dances:

Class Failure Policy

Any student who fails a class for the SEMESTER will not be permitted to attend the following semester’s all-school dance unless he or she makes up the exact amount of credits by the Monday before the dance. If a student fails more classes than time or availability allows him or her to make up, he or she will NOT be permitted to attend the next dance.

Examples:

  1. If a student fails a class during the first semester, he or she will not be permitted to attend the Cominghome (winter/spring) Dance unless he or she completes a course to make up the EXACT amount of credits lost. This must be completed by the Monday before the dance.
  2. If a student fails a class during the second semester, he or she will not be allowed to attend the following year’s Homecoming (fall) Dance unless he or she completes a course to make up the EXACT amount of credits lost. This must be by the Monday before the dance.
  3. If a student fails 3 classes during the second semester, and he or she only completes 2 summer school classes, he or she will NOT be permitted to attend the following year’s Homecoming (fall) Dance.
