College Planning Seminar
Antonio Junior-Robins, a financial aid administrator at the University of Michigan, presented information related to financial aid to Churchill students and parents at our annual College Planning Seminar on December 7, 2015.  If you missed the seminar, you can still view the presentation at this LINK.

Remember to start filling out your FAFSA form beginning October 1st of your senior year.  To get the most assistance for college, your FAFSA must be turned in no later than Michigan's deadline of March 1st.

Before you begin, you must create a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID at this LINK.  The FSA ID consists of a user-created username and password to electronically access personal information on Federal Student Aid Web sites.  You can use your FSA ID immediately to sign your FAFSA, but you must wait for the Social Security Administration (SSA) to verify your information before the FSA ID can be used to create a renewal FAFSA, make corrections to your FAFSA, or view your Student Aid Report (SAR).

If you need help, please see this step-by-step tutorial called 7 Easy Steps to the FAFSA.  We also recommend referring to the Funding Your Education and Federal Student Aid at a Glance resources provided by the U.S. Department of Education.  If you still need help, please consider attending College Goal Sunday in February where experts are available to help you complete your FAFSA.
